A weakness or flaw in a system that can be exploited for malicious purposes.

 

  1. Backdoor

A backdoor to any weak point in a program or system through which an unauthorised person can gain access.

A security system consisting of software or devices that control the flow of incoming and outgoing data on a network, monitoring the boundary between the public and private part of a company's networks.

Malicious software or malware whose main characteristic is its ability to make copies of itself in order to spread automatically in a network.

A type of software intended to damage or infiltrate an information system without the owner's consent.

 

  1. Phishing

A scam in which fraudulent attempts are made to obtain confidential information by telematic communication.

 

  1. Trojan

A type of malware or malicious software that requires a user to access a malicious website or execute the infected file in order to spread.

 

  1. Spyware

Malware that collects information from a computer and then sends it to a remote system without the consent of the owner of the data.
