  • What is ransomware

It is a type of malware that can hold a company's data and/or devices hostage, keeping them locked until a ransom is paid. Ransomware can infect your devices through:

- Credentials theft.

- Hidden downloads.

- Phishing and other social engineering attacks.

How to avoid it?

1. Increase your cybersecurity and be prepared for possible risks!

2. Avoid opening emails sent from suspicious addresses.

3. Configure multifactor authentication.

4. Use cybersecurity tools such as antivirus software or endpoint detection and response platforms.

5. Perform regular backups.

6. Properly train your employees in cybersecurity matters.
