Prevent unauthorized modifications.
-
Know who accesses the document.
-
Protect your data from cyber-attacks.
-
Ensure security during an online transfer.
-
To have an additional layer of security.
-
How to encrypt a file?
-
In the toolbar of your document, click on 'File'.
-
Select the 'Information' option and click on 'Protect document'.
-
Click on 'Encrypt with password' and enter your key.
Your file is now protected!
Note that you can also encrypt your files from the Advanced Properties option of your Windows system or use free programs such as Cryptomator or AES Crypt.
