The new regulatory bases for the Digital Kit grants are published

The world is constantly changing and technology is the main character causing these changes. The incorporation of new digital tools and systems in companies results in continuous innovation in different areas such as: process and personnel management, industrial processes, commercial relations and marketing strategies, among others.

For this reason, among others, it has been necessary to make a series of changes in the bases that regulate the granting of aid from the Digital Kit Program. As we have mentioned on different occasions, the objective of this program is the digitalization of small companies, micro-enterprises and self-employed people throughout Spain, and it is developed within the framework of the Digital Spain Agenda 2025, the SME Digitalization Plan 2021-2025 and the Spanish Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan -financed by the European Union- Next Generation EU.

These changes have been made so that the various digitization solutions, initially defined in the bases published last December 29th, are aligned with the current technological advances. Additionally, another of the objectives of the modifications is related to the improvement of certain aspects that guarantee the correct execution of the grants and the achievement of the objectives defined in the Digital Kit Program. Main changes

• Changes in the beneficiaries: who is and who is not eligible for the subsidies

The number of beneficiaries of the digital voucher has been extended, making it possible (in addition to small companies, micro-enterprises and self-employed persons whose tax domicile is located in Spanish territory) for civil companies with a commercial purpose, professional civil companies and jointly owned farms that carry out an economic activity, provided that their tax domicile is located in Spanish territory, to apply for the aid.

On the other hand, temporary joint ventures (UTES), natural or legal persons who are Digitalizing Agents, self-employed persons who are considered as corporate self-employed, or self-employed collaborators under the terms provided for in the applicable regulations, may not be beneficiaries.

• Changes in the categories and their amounts by segments

In relation to the solutions offered in the Digitalization Solutions Catalog, two new categories have been included (Marketplace and Advanced Internet Presence) and the amounts have been changed according to the segments of the categories: Process Management and Electronic Invoicing. Therefore, it would be as follows:

• Changes in the signing of agreements

Now, the agreements signed between beneficiaries and Digitizing Agents can be made through electronic means such as: electronic certificate, Cl@ve permanent or Cl@ve PIN. This facilitates and provides greater legal certainty to the beneficiary of the aid, optimizing the signature systems already available in the public sector.
