SMEs and freelancers can apply for their 3.000€ digital voucher from 14 June

This opportunity is open to businesses with fewer than three employees, also offering an additional 1.000 euros to those who have already benefited from previous amounts. This process, managed by Red.es, aims to boost the digitalization of small businesses and freelancers throughout Spain.

The deadlines and procedures are as follows:

• Form opening date: 14 June 2024 at 11:00 am.

• Closing date: 31 October 2025 at 11:00.

• Registration and application: companies must register in the Acelera pyme private area and complete a digital self-diagnosis test before applying for the voucher through the Red.es website.

What is the budget and what grants are available?

The budget earmarked for these grants has been increased. Firstly, the call for applications has been increased by 500 million euros, bringing the total for segment III to 1.000 million euros. Secondly, the maximum support per category of digitalization solutions is detailed in the partial resolution of the call.

New solution category: Safe Workplace

One of the most important new features is the addition of the category 'Secure Workplace'. This solution includes:

• Eligible equipment: laptops or desktops with monitor.

• Security: devices with data encryption and an integrated cybersecurity licence.

• Objective: to improve productivity and competitiveness in a secure digital environment.

The maximum eligible amount for this solution is 1.000 euros. To qualify for this category, companies must have previously formalised an agreement for another solution from the catalogue.

Procedures for previous beneficiary companies

Segment III companies that have already received 2.000 euros in aid from the Kit Digital programme and whose aid has not been revoked for any reason, can apply for the additional 1.000 euros by means of a declaration of conformity in their file at the Red.es website. The voucher must be used within six months from the date of issuance.

Application process and Digitalizing Agents

Grants will be awarded directly and on a first-come, first-served basis, after verification of compliance with the requirements. The Digitalization Agents, currently more than 10.900, are the only ones authorized to sign agreements to provide digitalization solutions to beneficiary companies and to collaborate in the aid application process.

The new 3.000 euros digital bonus represents an opportunity for SMEs and the self-employed with less than three employees. With the increased budget and the inclusion of new solutions such as 'Secure Workplace', the Kit Digital programme continues to advance in its goal of digitalizing SMEs and freelancers, thereby strengthening competitiveness and productivity in the digital sphere.

To date, the Kit Digital programme has awarded more than 388.000 grants, distributing more than 1,6 billion euros from the Recovery Plan to small businesses, microenterprises and freelancers.
