Two years driving the digital transformation of SMEs and freelancers

Digitization is an essential process for businesses to remain competitive in the market. And, in the case of SMEs and freelancers, this process helps them to improve their productivity, efficiency and profitability, as well as ensuring their growth.
Acelera pyme was born as an initiative of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation and is aimed at creating the reference ecosystem for the digital transformation of SMEs. It is developed by Red.es, an entity under the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence and is part of the SME Digitalization Plan 2021-2025.
In addition, this project has the financial backing of the European Regional Development Funds (ERDF), which are part of the "A Way of Doing Europe" initiative.
To achieve the objectives set, the Platform offers SMEs and freelancers a wide range of resources and tools to help them in their digitization processes.

What has happened in the last two years?
Throughout this time, Acelera pyme has been a partner in the journey of digital transformation and evolution for small and medium-sized companies, as well as for the self-employed. During this time, we have provided continuous support by offering resources such as specialized content, a constantly updated news section and tools designed to encourage and support digitization. In doing so, we are committed to providing the tools necessary to achieve the objectives of SMEs in an ever-changing digital world.
The impact of our activity is already relevant because, as of today, there are around 680 thousand registered SMEs that have taken almost 260 thousand digital transformation self-assessment tests [link] and more than 71,000 cybersecurity self-assessments [link]. In addition, today we have 5 million unique users on the Platform.
Likewise, a network of Acelera pyme Offices has been set up, consisting of 152 support points, 56 of which are rural, with the aim of digitalization reaching all parts of the national territory. In addition, more than 1,000 activities have been organized to accompany small and medium-sized enterprises in their different interests and promote their digitization.
Another of the most important missions of Acelera pyme during this time has been to provide content that supports and guides SMEs. Therefore, during these two years, we have created around 450 contents among which you can find success stories of other SMEs, interviews with experts in digital transformation, monographs with comprehensive guides, practical tips and much more!

Acelera pyme's mission goes beyond what has been achieved so far. We are committed to continuing to support SMEs, as well as the self-employed, in every step of their digitalization processes. The key to providing effective support lies in understanding the specific needs of our community.
